Resiliency After the Flood

To the left is a picture of the street right outside my grandmother’s house in Quezon City, Philippines during the recent floods that hit the Metro Manila area.

This is the second time in 3 years that this kind of flooding has happened.  My aunts posted some before, during, and after the flood pictures on Facebook.

Thankfully, everyone is alright and it seems that everyone is taking things in stride. Recovering from such a calamity can be daunting.  I’m amazed how resilient people can be after such a calamity.  At the end of it, you just have to do what you have to do.  Everyone helps each other.  There’s no other way to move but forward.

After all, the flood doesn’t last forever.
